| Oh, cool... you speak spanish? I wanted once to learn it as well... but only speak a few single words. Though, I wish I could more... spain is such a beautiful country and a nice language! | |

Though, I wish I could more... spain is such a beautiful country and a nice language! I wish I spoke Spanish! I learned just enough to get me through the classes, and then most of it fell out of my head. I can still read a little bit of it from time to time, enough of it at least to catch the overall meaning. There's quite a bit of Spanish around here.

| Oh, well... at least you can read lil in spainish. And you had it in classes... here we only could choose either russian or frensh or english of course. So I settle better with english... and later I wanted to teach it (spainish) by meself, but well.... nevermind! haha | |

| English is a very hard language to master. It isn't like almost every other language in the world. It's like the exception to every rule.
There are plenty of people who learned English as their first language and still don't speak it properly. I applaud anyone who learns it as a second language and uses it fairly well.

| Well, I think its not that hard to learn as german. The german one is at least more complicated in grammer...
But, okay... do you think I do use it "fairly well"? You think I could "survive" in the USA with my english knowlegde?? hehe

| yep thats true.. german is a hard language with all its grammar.. and as they changed it a lot over the last years.. I doubt there are even teachers out who knew all perfectly.. haha.. so glad I'm not in school anymore.. I had 2 years of spanish in school.. 1st year was awesome, I learnt so easy, as our teacher was awesome and had his own way to make it understandable so easy for all of us.. sadly, we only had him for a year.. and now I forgot most of it.. wish I would have go on.. also had French earlier for 2 years in school, wanted to go on, but my english teacher said No, as my english was very bad, according to her, and she said I would mix up even more if I choose french for 2nd language.. hmm.. she should see me now! | |

| Haha, I'm sure you could, Rina. I think the majority of German population speaks English at least as good as being understandable for native speakers. | |
